This month, Dehui Brewing completed a whole-plant brewery relocation for our customer in Guangxi, China. Our engineers dismantled the brewhouse, fermentation tanks and auxiliary equipment, moved the brewery equipment to the new site, and reinstalled and commissioned the complete system. The brewery has now started brewing beer again.

Moving a Brewery Is Not the Same as Moving Equipment
When a brewery moves to a new site, the tanks and vessels are only part of the job. The brewhouse, fermentation tanks, piping, valves, glycol cooling system and control system all have to be taken apart, transported and put back together so that the brewing process works exactly as it did before.
For this project in Guangxi, the customer asked Dehui Brewing to handle the entire relocation, from dismantling to the first brew at the new site.

What the Relocation Involved
The project was carried out in several stages:
- Dismantling the brewhouse, fermentation tanks and brewery piping
- Protecting and transporting stainless steel brewery tanks
- Reinstalling and levelling the vessels at the new site
- Reconnecting piping, valves, fittings and pumps
- Reinstalling the glycol cooling system and brewery control system
- Commissioning and trial brewing
- Training the customer's team on the relocated system
Because the equipment had been in production for years, the piping and connections had to be matched to the customer's existing process rather than simply rebuilt. Our engineers worked on site until every part of the system was running normally.

Relocation Depends on Engineering Support
A brewery relocation is a test of the equipment supplier, not only the equipment. Vessels have to be handled without damaging the tank shell, the cooling jackets or the polished surfaces, and the process parameters have to be restored after installation.
For this reason, Dehui Brewing sends its own engineers to the site, the same team that manufactured and installed the original brewery equipment.

With the installation and commissioning finished, the brewery has resumed brewing at its new location. The same tanks, the same process, a new site.
