Beer Fermentation Tank

The materials used in the fermenter have a great influence on the quality of the beer. Stainless steel is the most commonly used material for fermenters, this material is durable, corrosion resistant and easy to clean. No matter what material is used, quality and brewing process are play very important role .

Description

fermentation tank

Our fermentation tanks are 100% made of 304/316 stainless steel material. 100% TIG welded joints and seams with sanitary interior polish. All tanks and jackets inspected and pressure tested at least 2 times operating pressure. All tanks insulated with high efficiency polyurethane foam. We can custom the size of the tank to meet your brewery's space and height restrictions.

Application

  • Beer & Wine: Fermentation tanks create the optimal temperature and environment to drive yeast activity, converting sugars into alcohol and key flavor compounds.
  • Dairy: Stainless steel tanks are essential for yogurt and cheese production, enabling controlled lactic acid fermentation to enhance taste and nutrition.
  • Fermented Condiments: For vinegar, soy sauce, and similar products, stainless steel tanks ensure stable pH and temperature control-critical for consistent flavor and shelf life.

Sight glass

Dry hopping port

Carbonation stone (optional)

Why Use Conical Fermentation Tanks?

Efficient Yeast Management

Natural Sedimentation: The cone-shaped bottom allows yeast and trub (sediment) to settle by gravity, reducing manual removal.

Easy Yeast Harvesting: Brewers can collect and reuse healthy yeast from the cone for future batches (cost-saving).

Reduced Beer Loss: Clear separation of beer from yeast/trub improves yield.

Improved Fermentation Control

Temperature Stability: The tall, narrow design promotes natural convection, ensuring even cooling (via glycol jackets).

Pressure Fermentation: CCVs can be sealed for pressurized fermentation (useful for lagers and carbonation).

Sanitation & Cleaning (CIP)

Smooth Interior: No corners or hard-to-reach areas → easier Clean-in-Place (CIP).

Hygienic Design: Stainless steel construction prevents contamination.

Versatility

Multi-Stage Fermentation: Can be used for primary fermentation, conditioning, and even lagering in one vessel (if designed as a Unitank).

Suitable for Various Styles: Ideal for ales, lagers, and high-gravity beers.

Scalability

Used in small craft breweries (1,000 L) to industrial facilities (500,000+ L).

 CO₂ & Pressure Management

CO₂ Collection: The sealed design allows CO₂ capture for carbonation or reuse.

Pressure Relief Valves (PRVs): Prevent over-pressurization during vigorous fermentation
